Fred Ross is a dynamic, talented vocalist and musician who has been performing professionally…. practically since he could walk.
Fred has performed in concert bills with top talent such as Pete Escovedo, Tower of Power, Huey Lewis and the News, Graham Central Station and Lionel Richie. As lead vocalists for Bay Area recording artists, Sass, Fred charted a Top-20 hit, I Only Wanted To Love You, on 20th Century Records. Fred currently is the lead vocalist with the Family Stone Experience featuring the music and using musicians originally with Sly & the Family Stone. Fred completed a US tour with the James Brown Horns featuring Pee Wee Ellis and Maceo Parker in November, 2011.
He has recorded vocals for a number of well-known artists and producers such as Narada Michael Walden, Lisa Fisher, Pee Wee Ellis and Aretha Franklin.
Fred can be seen live with these Bay Area bands: Dick Bright’s SRO, The Starlight Orchestra, Havana Blow Cats, The Jules Broussard Band, Spang-a-Lang, Zasu Pitts Memorial Orchestra, Blo Funk and the R & B Allstars, and the Fred Ross Project.
Fred performs every Tuesday at Harry Denton’s Starlight Room at the Sir Francis Drake Hotel backed by his trio from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m.
Fred Ross has performed the National Anthem for the San Francisco Giants, the 49ers, the Golden State Warriors and the San Jose Sharks.
